The Harmonized Tariff Schedule code (HTS code) is an internationally accepted system of names and numbers used to classify traded products. It was developed in 1988 and continues to be maintained by the World Customs Organization.

If you are shipping products across borders, it is a legal requirement to have an HTS code, no matter what your product is. A Harmonized Tariff code is composed of 10 digits, the first 6 digits are globaly accepted. The last 4 digits can vary depending on the country.

A Harmonized Tariff Schedule code (HTS code) provides the applicable tariff/duty rates and statistical categories for all merchandise imported into the United States. Without this code your items will not be allowed into the country.

At Jeanca Imports we take the time to get to know your product so our team of experts can properly classify your item and avoid any of the following consequences.
