Are you looking to Import items into the U.S.A?

Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I need a Customs Broker?

All goods that arrive into the U.S. Customs territory must be declared to the Government agency known as U.S. Customs Border Protection (CBP). The importer (business or person) is responsible for filing entry documentation and paying applicable duties, fees, and taxes. It is the importers responsibility to ensure proper documentation is filed with CBP, which may include licenses, permits (when needed), and other legal electronic filings. The merchandise will not clear a port of entry or be considered legally entered into the United States, until CBP authorizes the release of such merchandise. Importers generally choose to hire a Licensed Customs Brokers to handle the import process, since this process comes with great responsibilities and legal liabilities.

I received a Customs Form 28 (CF-28). What should I do?

U.S Customs is requesting additional information from your previous importation. We can help figure out what information is being requested.

Did a Manufacturer / Exporter advise you to file an ISF with U.S Customs? We can help.

An ISF is highly time sensitive filing with CBP. It needs to be processed and accepted by CBP at least 24 hours before loading a shipment onto a vessel. Importers that fail to comply with this legal requirement are subject to costly CBP penalties.
